Ask for help with the hard part
Do not buy answers to submit as your own work. If you are stuck, ask for an explanation, a practice activity or help understanding the task. Those options can support learning without replacing your effort.
Imagine this labelled example: a learner cannot explain a trust-account scenario and sees an offer for a completed assessment. The useful next step is to identify the confusing concept and ask the trainer to work through a different practice example. Paying for a finished response leaves that knowledge gap open.
The evidence must be yours
ASQA’s assessment guidance includes authenticity: the assessor must be satisfied that evidence is genuinely the student’s work. A purchased response can undermine that judgement even when the words sound convincing. ASQA: Assessment Practice Guide
The regulator also identifies contract cheating and provider-enabled dishonesty as risks to vocational education. Its guidance reports cases of cheating services threatening or extorting students. ASQA: Academic integrity risk priority
Choose help that builds the skill
Pressure is a reason to seek support
Work deadlines, family demands and unfamiliar language can make a task feel much larger at night than it did in class. You can acknowledge that pressure without handing your assessment to someone else.
Write a short message to your trainer explaining where you are stuck and what you have tried. Ask for help before the deadline if possible. A precise question often gives them a better starting point than saying that the whole course is confusing.
Set clear limits on outside help
Check your provider’s rules before using a tutor, study group or AI tool. Ask what collaboration is allowed and how help must be acknowledged. Do not assume that a service calling itself a study aid makes every use acceptable.
Useful practice might involve explaining a concept in your own words, testing your understanding or discussing a fresh example. Your submitted evidence still needs to meet the task rules. Keep client information and private workplace material out of outside tools unless proper permission and safeguards are in place.
Check the recovery route
If you have already bought work, stop before submitting it and ask the provider how to correct the situation honestly. If you have submitted it, seek advice through its academic-integrity process. Outcomes depend on the policy and facts; no one can promise a particular result here.
Build the skill you came for
Choose one concept, work through approved resources and practise until you can explain your reasoning. Then complete the assessment yourself. Use the What to do when an assessment says Not Yet Competent and What to do when an assessment says Not Yet Competent for feedback and reassessment. A real estate study plan that leaves room for work and family can help reset the timetable when time pressure is the main problem.
Sources and what remains unknown
No student misconduct case or provider penalty has been assessed. No claim that every purchased service commits a particular offence.
