Understand the staged NSW pathway

Start with the five core CPP41419 units for assistant-agent registration. Moving to an unrestricted class 2 licence requires the specified qualification and supervised experience. Buying the full course does not skip these steps.

Course completion is not permission to practise. Check specialist sales, rental, business-broking, strata or auction work with NSW Fair Trading.

Units, experience, expiry and CPD

The normal class 2 course mix is five core units, five residential-sales units, five residential-property-management units and three electives. At least nine Part 1 and five Part 2 logbook tasks must be completed over 12 months and signed by the licensee in charge.

An assistant certificate generally lasts four years and cannot be renewed. You must progress to class 2 within that time. Assistant applicants must be at least 16 and meet suitability and disqualification rules. Assistants cannot enter agency agreements or authorise trust withdrawals; these are examples, not all restrictions.

New class 2 applicants must be at least 18 and supply identity, qualification and signed experience evidence, alongside suitability checks. Plan supervision and logbook sign-off early. A course timetable and the minimum experience period are different clocks.

Assistant agents generally complete at least three relevant Certificate IV units each CPD year. Start-date adjustments and carry-forward rules apply. The CPD year is 1 July to 30 June; check your own dates.

The national CPP41419 package is 18 units, five core plus 13 electives, with no national entry requirements. A different 18-unit selection must not be assumed suitable for NSW.

Study fit, total price and written terms

Check the RTO’s current registration and scope, then obtain its live NSW offer, exact units, delivery method and intake in writing. Scope does not establish current availability.

Course charges are separate from government certificate and licence fees. Check the current NSW fee page for your authority and term. Include assessment, extensions and extras in the course quote; a payment plan does not necessarily reduce its total. No price, funded place or discount has been verified here.

Read payment and refund terms before paying. Keep the offer and correspondence. ASQA explains student rights and complaints options but does not settle individual disputes with providers.

Historical, restricted, interstate and individual exceptions need separate checks. No employment outcome or licensing decision is guaranteed.
