Choose the work and the registration
An agent’s representative handles transactions as an employee of a licensed real estate or business agent. Registration and the appropriate training are required. Choose whether your intended duties involve sales, property management or both.

The NT full representative route requires an 18-unit selection covering sales, renting, trust work, commercial property and hearings. Restricted sales requires 11 units; restricted property management requires 14. These shorter selections are not automatically the full national qualification.
Sources: NT3
CPP41419 contains five core and 13 elective units nationally. Ask for an exact NT unit map and written confirmation of the award or statements of attainment you will receive. Check any extra study needed if you later broaden your role.
A one-year interim training registration may be available with a work offer, five core units and enrolment in the remaining units for the chosen pathway. It requires an application. Enrolment by itself is not permission to work.

Check later licensing and application evidence
The full agent-training pathway lists CPP51122 plus CPP41419 or an NT unrestricted representative registration. The restricted-agent section still refers to CPP51119 and contains unit-label inconsistencies. Ask Licensing NT to confirm the exact accepted route in writing; do not substitute a qualification code yourself.

Agent applicants must be at least 18 and provide qualifications, relevant experience, police and other supporting evidence. The current general application page does not establish one universal experience period for every applicant. Do not import another state’s rule.

Identity, character references and disclosures are part of the process. A currently linked individual/sole-trader form is version 6 dated 8 March 2022. Check that it remains the required form and follow the current online instructions when you apply.
Course completion and application approval are separate. Previous qualifications, restricted authorities and interstate experience need individual review. No licence, job or income is guaranteed.
Check delivery, support and the total budget
Check current RTO registration and CPP41419 scope, then request the provider’s actual NT offer, exact units and current intake. Scope does not establish that a provider offers your required unit combination. No live price or funded place is verified here.
- Does the unit selection match my intended NT registration?
- Are live classes held in a time zone and at times I can attend?
- What internet, software and recording equipment will I need?
- Who arranges role-play participants, practical settings and workplace evidence?
- Can I meet any interim-registration study deadline?
- How do I obtain trainer help, and how quickly are tasks marked?
If you live away from a teaching venue, ask about compulsory travel before enrolling. Confirm what can be completed remotely and what must happen in person. A course described as online may still have scheduled or practical commitments.
Request a total for tuition, required materials, assessments, repeats and extensions. Budget government registration, licensing and police checks separately. Read payment, withdrawal and refund terms and ask whether future instalments remain payable after withdrawal. Keep the written offer and agreement.
