Choose your Queensland role
CPP41419 can support a real estate career, but study and permission to work are separate. Salesperson registration, a full agent licence and an auctioneer licence are different permissions.
- Employee salesperson, including relevant rental work: 12 specified CPP41419 units, then apply for registration. Contractors need a full agent licence.
- Full real estate agent: 19 specified units drawn from CPP41419 and CPP51122, then apply for a licence. Do not assume an 18-unit Certificate IV covers all 19.
- Property management: match actual duties and employment arrangement to the registration or licence. A job title does not settle authority.
- Auctioneer: a separate licensing pathway; ordinary salesperson registration and an agent licence do not authorise property auctions.
Completing training does not guarantee a licence or job. Ask the Office of Fair Trading which route applies before paying if eligibility, prior training or interstate recognition is uncertain.
Match the units and entry checks
Salesperson registration lists CPPREP4001–4005, CPPREP4101–4105, CPPREP4121 and CPPREP4123. The full-agent list adds CPPREP4122, CPPREP4124, CPPREP4125, CPPREP4503, CPPREP4506, CPPREP5006 and CPPREP5010. Ask the provider for a written map against the exact list.
The national qualification has 18 units: five core and 13 electives. It has no national entry requirements, but provider admission checks and Queensland licensing rules still apply. A short unit course is not automatically the full qualification.

Applicants must be at least 18. Identity, training evidence, suitability and work rights matter; salesperson applications involve a criminal-history check. Registered salespeople cannot conduct auctions or operate trust accounts. Read the full role restrictions.

Think about your first job and later plans. Ask how selected units could count towards a full qualification, and what additional training is needed to work independently. Training admission is not a regulator decision.
Compare the actual offer and complete cost
Check the RTO number, registration and CPP41419 scope on the national register, then confirm a current Queensland offer. Queensland’s Skills Gateway warns that listing does not establish that the provider currently offers the training.
- Is the offer a full qualification or selected units? Is extra full-agent training included?
- Are learning materials, assessment and certificate issue included? What do extensions and repeats cost?
- Are online sessions live? Who arranges role-play participants and practical documents?
- What are weekly study hours, trainer access and marking times?
- What happens to instalments if I withdraw?
Build separate course and government-fee budgets. Check the current Fair Trading schedule when applying. No current course price, subsidy or funding place has been verified here. Verify any advertised subsidy for your circumstances and the provider’s current approval.

Request a sample timetable and assessment guide. Read the agreement and refund policy before paying, and keep advertisements, quotes and receipts. ASQA explains enrolment information and support; it does not resolve individual student-provider disputes.
