Match your registration to the work
Real estate and business sales representatives, including property managers, work under a licensed agent or registered developer. The unrestricted representative route covers sales and property management. Restricted registrations limit the permitted work.

The detailed WA training lists specify 18 units for unrestricted registration, 13 for sales-only and 12 for property-management-only. A shorter bundle should not be described as the full national qualification. Ask which award or statements of attainment you receive and what bridging study may be needed later.
Sources: W3
CPP41419 is nationally packaged as 18 units: five core and 13 electives. The qualification has no national entry requirements, but provider admission rules and occupational registration checks are separate.
Sources: W2
The WA application page contains inconsistent summary arithmetic: it says 18 core units plus three electives, while its detailed list contains 15 specified units plus three electives. Use the detailed list as a question for Consumer Protection and request written confirmation before enrolling; do not guess.

Application checks and the agency pathway
Representative applications need training evidence, character disclosures and a police certificate issued within the previous three months. Check the current application instructions before ordering time-limited documents. Registration approval is separate from finishing the course.

Running an agency requires an agent’s licence and a current triennial certificate. CPP51122 is an accepted training pathway with any required Certificate IV gap units. Prior qualifications and other pathways need individual checking.
Sources: W4
The agent application asks for relevant transaction experience, employment history and business references supporting at least two years of full-time experience. Two referees are required, including one outside the current workplace. Police and other application checks also apply.

A representative course is not the whole agent-licensing pathway. Decide whether your next step is employee sales, property management, both, or later agency operation. Confirm the authority that permits those duties.
Check the provider, workload and full price
Search the National Training Register for the RTO’s current registration and CPP41419 scope. Then obtain its live WA offer, exact units, delivery method and start date. Scope does not prove that a course is currently offered to you.
- Are the required WA units included and mapped in writing?
- Is the offer a full qualification or a restricted-role bundle?
- Are there scheduled classes, live assessments or in-person sessions?
- Who arranges role-play participants and workplace materials?
- What weekly workload, marking time and trainer support should I expect?
- How long does access last, and what do repeats or extensions cost?
Budget separately for tuition, government licensing or registration, police checks, materials and extra attempts. WA publishes current property-industry fees; select the entry matching your application. No live course price, intake or subsidy has been verified here.
